Emerald City Emergency Clinic Services

Emerald City Emergency Clinic provides a variety of veterinary services to the Seattle area, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please review our list of available services below and contact us if you have any questions.

Digital Radiology

Digital radiology is the diagnostic imaging option that allows us to view a pet’s bones internally to check for fractures, foreign bodies, and other conditions. Unlike film radiology, digital technology uses significantly less radiation, making it safer for pets. It also allows for higher quality imaging and comprehensive interpretation by our board-certified radiologists.

Ultrasonography

Ultrasonography involves viewing an animal internally using ultrasonic sound waves and echoes, which are used to produce an image of a pet’s organs. We use ultrasound technology to evaluate soft tissues of the musculoskeletal system, including the heart, kidneys, and liver. Some of the conditions that may call for an ultrasound include abnormal bloodwork, chronic infections, or fluid in the chest.

End-of-life Services and Cremation

Making a decision about putting a pet down is one of the most difficult decisions a pet owner can make. Endoscopy

Endoscopy refers to the method of viewing a pet “within” using a rigid or flexible fiber-optic endoscope. Flexible endoscopes are long, flexible tubes used to view the stomach, esophagus, and upper intestines. Rigid endoscopes are used for soft tissue structures like the nasal cavity and urethral opening. We often recommend an endoscopy procedure for pets with diarrhea, weight loss, abdominal pain, or foreign body removal.

Medical Boarding

We now offer medical boarding accommodations for dogs and cats that require special care. This service is available by reservations only. We have a general ward with small and medium kennels for small, quiet dogs, and cats and a ward in the back with runs for larger dogs. All dogs are walked outside four to six times a day and fed according to their home schedule. Cats have their litter box checked and cleaned, if needed, four times daily and fed according to their home schedule. Medical boarders are examined twice a day by the veterinarian on staff to ensure the pet is healthy and doing well while under our care. This service is for animals who are in need of medical attention while owners are away. Some of these services include but are not limited to oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medication administration.
